Welcome to Lee’s Mooring houseboat dock in Seattle WA

History

Lee's Moorings houseboat dock was originally established in the mid 1930's by Ed and Alice Lee. The Lee's were houseboat occupants on this dock, adding some additional houseboats for rental/ownership.

They also had a "dry dock" where boats were pulled out of the water for repair. A few who owned houseboats and rented moorage from the Lee's in the late 1970's are still living on the dock today.

A great history of this Seattle houseboat dock and the 100-year old Floating Homes community is available in Erin Feeney's book "Seattle Floating Homes" (2012). Lee's Moorings is featured on pages 118-121.

Lee’s Mooring is Fremont’s only Floating Home houseboat community and it is well-known for its strong sense of community and exceptional dock stewardship. It is just a short stroll from PCC and everything Downtown Fremont has to offer.
